The Veilfire Accords Series

It is known as the Time of the Hollow Peace.

There are Thirteen Realms in the world of Aethyros:
Eight Veilborn Courts.
Two Drakoryn Territories.
One Mortal Realm.
And Two Realms of Shadow and Dark.

Together, they forged the Veilfire Accords—
a fragile peace designed to keep the realms from tearing each other apart.

But peace never lasts.

Not in Aethyros.

The Mortal Realm, Aurenvale—also known as the Low Realm—
is a crucible of myth and memory,
a sanctuary for the outcast and the broken,
a melting pot of magic, mortals, and monsters.

A haven for those fleeing war, prejudice, and bloodlines that mark them as other.
Humans, magic-born, and exile races all live under the watchful eye of the Twelve Mage Houses.

Calia Blackburn, of House Blackburn, is the youngest mage in centuries to survive the Rite of Binding and summon her destined weapon.

What should have been her triumph becomes a scandal.

The blades she calls are not only legendary—they are cursed.
Tied to a dark prophecy, the Sundering Wars, and the lost Thirteenth House.

A House that was left in shadow.
Forgotten.
Erased.
Sworn never to rise again.

But the dead don’t stay buried.
And neither do secrets.

When girls begin dying on the ley lines, Calia is called into action.

Eryx of House Virael—exiled prince, stormborn outcast, slayer of dragons—shouldn’t care.
He abandoned thrones and prophecy six centuries ago.
But the murders reek of the same shadows that once destroyed everything he loved.

And the mage who carries the Twin Blades may be the only one who can stop it.

But Eryx has secrets.
Deep ones.
Secrets that tie him to the prophecy—and to Calia.

Now, Calia and Eryx must navigate Veilborn courts, Drakoryn clans, and the rising threat in the Shadows.

Because if the truth of their shared past—and the legacy of the Thirteenth House—comes to light, the Veilfire Accords will shatter.

And a war will ignite that could burn through every realm.

Storm Forged Prophecy

Book One in the Veilfire Accords Series

Callia Blackburn, of House Blackburn, is the youngest mage in centuries to survive the Blood Rite, marked as her House’s true heir before she was grown. When the Twin Blades of Destiny and Dark Offerings choose her—ancient weapons that should have slept forever—the Twelve Houses panic, the Veilborn Courts stir, and a war older than memory begins to wake.

Eryx Virael, exiled prince of the Veilborn, has carried six hundred years of guilt, secrets, and scars. Once, he ruled storms. Once, he commanded armies. Once, he swore an oath that shattered the realms. Now, he will break every law of gods and men to protect the woman fate has bound to him.

But Callie doesn’t know the truth. Not about the Blades. Not about the shadowed realm stirring beneath their feet. And not about the war-torn centuries she already lived, loved, and lost.

The Veilfire Accords are breaking. The Thirteenth House rises. And when the Dark Triad call upon a Daiveryn of death to consume the realms, Callie and Eryx must choose: to be weapons of prophecy, or to be each other’s undoing.

Think: Crescent City meets The Witcher with Supernatural DNA—gritty, smart, emotionally charged.

The World of Veilfire

The Realms of Aethyros

Thirteen Realms.
Stacked like mirrored skies above the mortal plane, the Realms of Aethyros are not merely lands—they are woven worlds. Each bears a nature, a rhythm, a rule. To step between them is to defy the gods and dance with the void.

The Veilborn Realms (8)

Eight immortal courts, ruled by the Veilborn—undying descendants of the Fallen Ones (Daeviryn — Primordial cosmic beings that took first breath when the world was made).

Each realm a reflection of their progenitor’s pride, wrath, sorrow, or ambition. Beautiful and terrible.

These realms once shimmered in harmony. Now, they seethe behind veils of war and silence.

1. Vaelthys — The Veiled Crown
2. Myrrathis — The Moonlit Hollow

3. Shyvarn — The Mountain-Bastion

4. Wynlarien — The Wind-Laced Isles

5. Liorathen — The Light Bound Valleys

6. Orraveth — The Oathbound Dominion

7. Viranyth — The Verdant Moor

8. Sundralis — The Ascending Spiral

The Drakoryn Realms (2)

Twin realms, split between Four Drakoryn Clans, each born of elemental convergence:

  • One forged by stone and root: the Earthbound Clans.

  • One carved by storm and wing: the Skybound Clans.

Together, they embody the primal breath of Aethyros, yet ancient grudges crack their unity.

The Shadow Realms (2)

  • Tharos — The Wounded Rift — a prison realm, sealed by the Accords, where the unspeakable are exiled and forgotten.

  • Umbra — a dark mirror of Tharos, home to beings of living shadow and ruled by the Dark Court, shrouded in myth and malice.

The Mortal Realm — Auren (Aura or Low Realm)

A melting pot of all that was cast out, escaped, or born free.

A realm of mortals and myth, teeming with:

  • Unghyrra (Unghir or Raa) – cursed war-born giants with rough greyish skin.

  • The Tynged – mortals with powers, echoes of the Daeviryn's mistakes—or their last unspoken hopes.

  • Gwyllari (Wildborn) – Wildborn / Hornedfolk / Children of the Old Earth

  • Hollowbound – Immortal offspring of the first drinkers—those who fed on a Fallen One

  • Redmouths – scions of the Hollowbound

  • Vaergyr – Shapeshifting wolfkin descended from Fenrith, divine hound of Kharvyrn, the Daeviryn of war.

  • Dérkai (Dragon Kin) – mutated mortals, who were bonded—sometimes unwillingly—to draconic essence through ritual, blood-rites, or forbidden fusion spells

  • And many more...

Aurenvale is both refuge and battlefield, attracting exiles from higher realms—fleeing prejudice, broken hierarchies, and endless war.

The Daeviryn

Primordial entities born from the raw celestial power of Aethyros' first breath—one of Unmaking, the other of Creation, countless others hold a specific purpose. Neither evil nor good by nature, they are forces, self-aware and ancient, older than the Realms themselves.

When bound and in balance, they hold reality in check.

When loosed, they tear it apart—or burn it down.
